I’m home today because it is Cesar Chavez day! I did some cleaning in our bedroom, some dusting and vacuumed the carpet too. Did some stuff online – FB games and emails.

I’m trying to finish my tax return and the worksheet so I can file it today. And also will do some grocery shopping in Seafood City and need to check prices for hot tub covers if I can find one.

The house is so quiet because my daughter is away for the day for her spring camp. I have tons that I need to accomplish today.

I initially like the roller blinds for our bedrooms but my husband didn’t agree to have different kinds of blind in the house. We end up with the horizontal faux wood blinds. That was five years ago, and so far it is still doing the purpose of the blinds and that is to cover the direct sunlight from the windows. No repairs or maintenance has been done on these blinds. Maybe on the future if we need to replace it, we will be picking this kind of blinds again.

My friend at work is getting married this year of September. I will help her in documenting the memories on my camera. She didn’t get an event organizer, so she is the one doing the event. She’s almost done with the invitations and I’m so excited to see it.

Wedding is really a special event to be part of. You get to witness two couple and their contract signing with the Man Above. But we should remember that this is only a day event that should not bring any stress to the couple and their families. The marriage life will still be the highlight of this contract.

While I was reading some fat burner pills information, I’m also eating malt chocolate balls.. hehhehe So hard to avoid the temptation of sweets and anything with chocolates. *sigh* I think I need some appetite control pills and not the fat burner one.. I want pills that will make me not love food. (hate is a strong word to use). Something that will not make me feels excited when I see chocolates or any food. Do you think it’s possible to have this kind of pills? Of course, no side effects of harmful effect on the body.

I’m encouraging a friend to finish her education thru accredited online degrees. She was married and got kids at an early age, and that is the reason why she was not able to finish her degree. She feels contented on her life now but I told her that she needs a back up plan for the future. You don’t know what will happen in the future, and finishing her degree will help her to find job easily and support their family. Sometimes we get so complacent on where we are now and forget to think about the future. I hope she will listen to my advice.

My mom is diabetic and has high blood pressure too. And I want to buy her some anti aging vitamins but I’m worried that it will have a reaction on some of the prescription she is taking. Or maybe I need to consult her doctor first before giving it to take. I was thinking to take it for myself too and I have to wait till I finish my current vitamins then I can start taking it. Hope it can really help in delaying the aging process

Both of my kids got baby eczema, one of the worst and troublesome symptoms as a mother. My eldest who is 5 years old now doesn’t have any signs of skin eczema; however, my son who’s almost 18 months have on and off symptoms. The pediatrician cannot explain why they have it.. and all they advise is to prevent scarring or bleeding of the skin. They advise to keep the skin clean and always moist. My cousin advised me to mix a pinch of hydrocortisone in a lotion and it helps.

The picture of my son with eczema is so clear in my mind until now.. I hope it won’t be this worst.

I’m excited to go back in Manila this July.. but this plan may not happen. And my option is just to bring kids in Disneyland, no Orlando vacation too, just in Los Angeles.. I will be in short vacation only, so no far destinations.

And this is the reason why I haven’t bought my ticket. I just want to make sure that nothing can stop or prevent me from having fun in Manila. So when it’s final then I will get our tickets.

My daughter playing on the first tablet we got! I originally like to get a Wacom tablet but the price for this 8×6 Genius tablet is much cheaper than the 4×5 tablet of Wacom. I think this only cost me $43 including tax and shipping. I decided to get the Genius because my daughter will enjoy writing/doodling in bigger space than the smaller one.

So far, so good. Easy to use and it does what it’s supposed to do. So I’m happy

One of the things I am saving for is the fee for my gmat prep and also the exam fee. I hope the cost will not go up quickly. I remember when I started preparing for the CPA exam, the cost of exam fees is only $400 + for the four parts of the exam.. but now it’s over $800. That’s why I stopped preparing cause I cannot afford to loose any more money if I will not make it. I really need to set aside time and keep everything on schedule.

I want to get my MBA because that will help my promotion for work and that’s why I need to get prepared for GMAT exam. But I also need to be a CPA, just for my self-fulfillment But for now I have to put these two on the back burner.. and I don’t know if I will get another chance to go back again and pursue it.
