I’m into researching nutritional health supplements that most ingredients are herbs and natural products.  For last two months, I’ve been hanging in forums that talks about herbal medicines.  It’s not that I’m sick, but I want to heal and prevent any ailments naturally.  I had allergy attacked and some skin problems and so far I was able to cure my allergy/runny nose by sniffing oregano oil in the morning but no success on my skin problem.  I also signed up in three health food stores so I can get discount when I need to buy :) I’m still active in looking for natural stuff and also aid to help in my weight loss.

This is one of the famous tourist spot in San Francisco. I really do not know why it so famous.. so before I go ahead and look for our door knobs replacement, I searched online for the history of the Coit Tower. And what I found is really fascinating! From now on, I can explain why this tower is so famous :)

From Wikipedia:

Coit Tower was built in Pioneer Park atop Telegraph Hill in 1933 at the bequest of Lillie Hitchcock Coit to beautify the City of San Francisco; Lillie bequeathed one-third of her estate to the City of San Francisco "to be expended in an appropriate manner for the purpose of adding to the beauty of the city which I have always loved".

Contrary to popular opinion, the tower was not designed to resemble a fire hose nozzle. This belief persists in part because of Lillie Hitchcock Coit’s affinity with the San Francisco fire fighters of the day, in particular with Knickerbocker Engine Company Number 5. Although the architects claimed to have no design precedent in mind, during this time Europe saw the construction of aesthetically designed power stations that could be claimed as prototypes (e.g.: Battersea Power Station).

The art deco tower, 210 feet (64 m) of unpainted reinforced concrete, was designed by architects Arthur Brown, Jr. and Henry Howard with murals by 26 different artists and numerous assistants.

The tower, which stands atop Telegraph Hill in San Francisco’s Pioneer Park, offers fantastic views of San Francisco including the Golden Gate Bridge, the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park ("Aquatic Park"), Alcatraz, Pier 39, Angel Island, Treasure Island, the Bay Bridge, Russian Hill, the Financial District, Lombard Street, and Nob Hill. The Coit Tower took 5 years to build.

I took this photo on my friend’s backyard. I like the contrast of colors.  Sometimes I’m thinking to just go in a place where I can keep on snapping photos and no one will think that I’m insane in taking photos of everything/details.

DSC_0160 I have tons of photo that I haven’t share on this website and I will try to keep up in sharing. This is actually on my to-do list together with my task to finalize my search of wholesale term life insurance.  My husband and I are thinking to upgrade and consolidate our insurance coverage to only one company.  And I’m almost done on my task.

Why loosing weight is like a rocket science, very hard, that anybody wants but less percentage of success?  Does it really need a magic to loose weight? Or is it a mystery unveiled for us? Hundreds and thousands of weight loss products are available now in the market and all are promising a positive result of weight loss. Is this the magic that everyone is looking for but not yet found?  I admit that I’m one of these people who is searching for the “magic” of losing weight.

Sadly, I realized that there is no magic for it.  Strong determination, education, planning, and commitment are the magic to bring one for successful weight loss. Diet pills can help one temporarily.. but the target is to make the solution long term.  So make a wise choice on what to take.  I’m proud to say that I already lost 13lbs for almost two months.. and I still have 60 lbs to reach my goal.

I took this photo from my hotel room in Ontario, CA. I’m just fascinated with the lights they have. The moment I got back in Sacramento, I asked my husband to visit light fixture store if we can get a new lights for our bathrooms and living room.  I noticed that even your place is not that petty, but if you have a nice lightning it empowers the whole room to be inviting and cozy.  Do you agree?

My sister is looking for some new business venture. And one of the ideas is to buy and sell clothes. You can get cheap prices for wholesale clothing and profit from it when you sell by retail.  One of the consideration that we haven’t agreed on is about our  target customer.  Clothing industry is vast when it comes to the target market. From misses to women sizes, from baby to children, from men to women.. and more. And just look at this selection, it’s actually easy to sell if you get mix collection.  Hope that she will agree for my ideas to get the mix collection of clothes.

Most girls who are worried about their weight have no reason to be. In one study, 58 percent of girls between the ages of 5 and 17 believed that they were overweight, when, in fact, only 17 percent were. In another study, 45 percent of women who were actually underweight thought that they were too heavy! A Canadian survey found that 70 percent of women in that country are preoccupied with their weight, and 40 percent are involved in yo-yo dieting—a pattern of losing weight and then gaining it back.

Clearly, a distorted body image can cause some girls to become overly concerned about something that is not really a problem. “I have a friend who takes large doses of diet pills and I know a few girls who have anorexia,” says 16-year-old Kristin. She adds: “None of them are fat by any stretch of the imagination.”

With good reason, the magazine FDA Consumer recommends: “Instead of dieting because ‘everyone’ is doing it or because you are not as thin as you want to be, first find out from a doctor or nutritionist whether you are carrying too much weight or too much body fat for your age and height.”

There’s no really magic or best diet pills that can help one to loose weight. All we need is self discipline and be committed. Easy to say but hard to do..

Nope, it’s not! This a good example how looks can be deceiving. lol I was so hungry when I got back in my hotel room and I just grabbed the menu available and asked for a room service. I forgot the name of the restaurant but it’s not really good. I think this is chicken club, the chicken is okay.. but the fries and the vegetable included doesn’t taste good. I don’t know why but I did not enjoy this food.  I was forced to eat the chicken because I need to refuel my tank. lol Good thing my hunger subside after the chicken and I was able to browse  mesothelioma lawyers that I will mention on my report for work.
