One of the jobs that I think was not heavily affected by the recession is the medical field industry. Emergency Medical Technician Jobs is one the position my friend is eyeing to after her new training. She was a teacher before and took some classes to pursue a different career path. I will probably do the same thing if my profession has been heavily affected by this recession. I’m thankful it was not. Would you do the same thing of career shift?

I’m cramming on reviewing this morning for my CPA exam and one of the topic I didn’t understand well is the disability insurance. I definitely need to go back and read the explanation about it. The benefit to the employer and the employee. I have 55 more chapters to read. Hoping to get it done by this week. I will rush through the materials and do some practice question. For now I need to sleep and be ready again to tackle chapters to read.

I stopped taking what I believe is the best weight loss supplements for a while and shift to take one that will help me boost my memory. I’m studying for a board exam and I noticed that I don’t have that sharp memory compared from an old me 12 years ago. And so far the supplement I’m taking is helping me to memorize my lessons and not to fall asleep when studying. I still have six more months of work to do. And I hope that it will pay off!

.. soon! I once searched for Best Online Schools to my MBA plan, but I stopped because of this tough economy, I cannot afford to spend more money and making my work secondary. lol Maybe in the future I will go back and pursue what I planned. For now, I’m enjoying and thankful for what I have.

I’m back studying to pass the CPA board exam since May. The most relevant way to add additional stuff on my education and accomplishment. I got the promotion that I wanted last March and the next level is tough to get qualified unless I have my CPA designation on my name and/or my MBA. So, that’s what I’m aiming for now.. and "CPA" next to my name. hehehe

A friend is inviting me to take medical coding training courses so she can have company when she go to school. Ayaaay! Of course, I know that she is joking when she said that. How can I leave my kids or sacrifice my night life for studying something I don’t even like or have no interest at. I rather take or set aside time for my CPA review than to pursue something out of my interest.. I cannot really see myself on medical field or doing things related to medical or health thing. It just not me.

I’m encouraging a friend to finish her education thru accredited online degrees. She was married and got kids at an early age, and that is the reason why she was not able to finish her degree. She feels contented on her life now but I told her that she needs a back up plan for the future. You don’t know what will happen in the future, and finishing her degree will help her to find job easily and support their family. Sometimes we get so complacent on where we are now and forget to think about the future. I hope she will listen to my advice.

One of the things I am saving for is the fee for my gmat prep and also the exam fee. I hope the cost will not go up quickly. I remember when I started preparing for the CPA exam, the cost of exam fees is only $400 + for the four parts of the exam.. but now it’s over $800. That’s why I stopped preparing cause I cannot afford to loose any more money if I will not make it. I really need to set aside time and keep everything on schedule.

I want to get my MBA because that will help my promotion for work and that’s why I need to get prepared for GMAT exam. But I also need to be a CPA, just for my self-fulfillment But for now I have to put these two on the back burner.. and I don’t know if I will get another chance to go back again and pursue it.
