I was talking to my friend who moved in Texas because of work. And I’m glad that her family is adjusting well on the environment very well. She has other issues before she left in California about pending case against her husband and Texas Maritime lawyer was able to help her continue her case on that state. That’s the reason why she feels new light of hope when she moved there. It will be long another long time before seeing her and the family unless I get assignment on Texas, hardly to happen! lol

Tomorrow is the final day to file tax and that is the reason why I can not focus on my regular schedule. But I’m thankful because today I was able to finish the last return that I have to file. Now I can go back on my regular schedule of shopping and browsing stuff online. I want to get this pulse oximeter for my mom once she gets her tax refund. And for my refund.. I need to save it for our travel plans.

Do you think the economy is getting better? Some signs show that we are recovering from the bad economy but some are still losing jobs. I really want to get the economy back. It’s hard if you’re anxious that soon you might lost your job too. And I understand why some people are really helpless when things like this comes. As I always say.. Trust God with all you heart.. He can surely make things easy to bear.

Today is my Friday because tomorrow is furlough day. I have tons of things on my to-do list that I need to accomplish before Saturday. And I’m hoping to finish it all!

Considering the cost of our monthly cell phone charge, I once opted to just use prepaid cell phones. But the problem is we have numbers that we regularly call and the cost will add up and it will be higher than the fix monthly charge. Now that I have the perfect plan, what I need is to upgrade our phones. And the phone prices are not cheap. Just another type of expenses that never ends.

The idea of buying a car as cash is best was learned from one of Suze Orman book, Women and Money. I got her point and I totally agree with her. And that’s what I’m trying to do now. Save money to buy a car. Maybe, I cannot save to get the price in cash.. but at least having bigger down payment will help. I always update myself with the car prices in our neighborhood. As long as my 10-years old CRV will not give up on me.. then I can follow her advice of saving.

I’m looking at prices online now and making sure that the TV I will buy for him is what he wanted. I actually need to buy two televisions for him. One where he can hook his computer and watch TV and the other one is the regular one for the living room. I know what to give but because of too many options and specifications it’s making me hard to pick the right one. I don’t think that this will be a surprise.. I will need his help in picking the one he wants.

He spent more time watching TV than me.. so I gave all the rights for him to pick what he wants.

I was in my bank the other day and they are offering me a year identity theft protection for $60. Sounds a pretty good deal but I don’t have budget set up for that yet. Maybe next year I need to include budget for this kind of subscription. I know its not big amount of money but small, petty expenses like this can add up every month. So I really have to be careful in saying yes.

I hope that the teller who offered me the program was not discouraged with my reply.

My sister is bragging me about the upcoming vacation they will have next month. She found panama city beach resort deals to meet all her expectation for a relaxing vacation. I also agree on what she said regarding this deal, money and value wise. With this economy, we still want to enjoy and relax but will not give us stress on our pocket. I need to consult my husband if he is willing to join my sister and her family on this vacation. I’m thinking to look for other deals in case he doesn’t want to.
